Anyone grabbing the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2 when it launches can also pick up a cache of free DLC from PSN for a limited time.

The news is detailed on BioWare’s Facebook page. The Terminus armour, only available previously as a pre-order incentive on the 360 version, makes you look a bit like a Cylon from Battlestar Galactica. It comes complete with the M-490 Blackstorm Projector Weapon, which blows things up a treat.

After February 23, however, users will be required to sacrifice actual money for access to the Terminus Gear.

The PS3 version of the game also comes complete with the other batches of premium DLC on the disc: Lair of the Shadow Broker, Overlord and Kasumi.

Mass Effect 2, which VideoGamer.com officially decreed the third best game of 2010, will finally find itself in the PS3 section of game stores on January 21.
