Capcom has announced that Marvel Vs Capcom 3 will be released across the UK on February 18, 2011.

The third instalment in the Marvel Vs Capcom series once again brings together the worlds of comic books and video games, with a massive roster of playable characters.

Confirmed so far on the Marvel side are: Magneto, M.O.D.O.K., Spider-Man, X-23, Dormmamu, Thor, Deadpool, Hulk, Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain America, Doctor Doom and Super-Skrull, She-Hulk and Shuma-Gorath.

On the Capcom side, players will be able to choose from: Arthur, Nathan “Rad” Spencer, Wesker, Tron Bonne, Viewtiful Joe, Amaterasu, Dante, Ryu, Morrigan, Chris Redfield, Felicia, Trish and Chun-Li, Zero and Jill Valentine.

In North America, Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath are included as DLC download codes inside the Special Edition. No such edition has been announced for the UK and it remains unclear how gamers in the UK will get their hands on the characters.

A February launch puts MvC3 in competition with the likes of Epic Games’ Bulletstorm and Sony’s Killzone 3, both aiming to pull in the same hardcore crowd.
