During its X06 press conference Microsoft announced the development of Marvel Universe Online, a new massively multiplayer online game coming exclusively to the Xbox 360 and Windows Vista. The game is in development at Cryptic Studios, the people behind the City of Heroes/Villains PC MMOs.
New York City is where all the MMO action will take place, and by working closely with Marvel, in-game events can be created to mimic those currently happening in their comics. Marvel Universe Online will also be one of Microsoft’s key Live Anywhere titles, allowing PC and Xbox 360 players to seamlessly interact with each other.
