Based on the popular trading card game from Upper Deck Entertainment, Marvel Trading Card Game features over 800 cards and for the first time, cross-platform multiplayer.
Players will need to assemble a deck and take on challenges to gain more cards based on legendary characters including Spider-man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider and more.
The single-player game asks players to choose to play as a hero or villain and then select a series of enemies to battle. Between each battle a story unfolds via comic book scenes.
Multiplayer is where the game should really shine though. Utilising an online network, players can interact with an online community to compete across a variety of game modes and tournaments, trade cards with other players and even purchase new cards from the game’s online store.
Marvel Trading Card Game will be released across Europe on May 31 for PSP and PC, with the DS game to follow in July.
