The next Marvel Rivals update will come out on Wednesday, April 30, bringing many buffs and nerfs. More precisely, a quarter of in-game characters will go through balance changes with the 20250430 update. On top of this, NetEase will adjust Stars Aligned, a new Team-Up Ability with Winter Soldier and Captain America.
Without further ado, let’s check all the buffs and nerfs coming with the update.
All buffs and nerfs in the 20250430 Marvel Rivals update
As NetEase previously revealed, certain heroes were too strong in the early Season 2, while others couldn’t keep up with them. Due to this, the game developer will bring balance changes to nine different characters, shaking up the meta.
Here are all the Marvel Rivals characters who will receive buffs:

| Doctor Strange | Decrease the energy cost to unleash the Eye of Agamotto from 3400 to 3100 |
| Winter Soldier | Adjust the Tainted Voltage ability to have 2 charge levels, while keeping the cooldown time unchanged |
| Adam Warlock | When a critical hit lands on an enemy, reduce the cooldown time of Avatar Life Stream by 1 second |
| Cloak & Dagger | As Cloak, increase the damage of the Darkforce Cloak from 75/s to 80/s; As Dagger, increase the damage of the Lightforce Dagger on hit from 15 to 18. |
| Luna Snow | Adjust the Damage Falloff of Light & Dark Ice from 60% at 40m to 75% |
| Mantis | Increase the hit damage of Life Energy Blast from 50 to 55 |
On the other hand, three Marvel Rivals characters have received nerfs:

| Spider-Man | Decrease the damage range of Amazing Combo from a 5m radius to a 4m radius |
Finally, the Stellar Impact ability between Winter Soldier and Captain America will grant 50 Bonus Health to allies within range. This should make the Team-Up between the two heroes more popular, and we expect their pick rate to increase in the following weeks.
