The latest Marvel Rivals update brought a couple of necessary changes and bug fixes. NetEase has taken care of some of the biggest problems in the game, to the relief of players. Unfortunately, the update also came with an accidental nerf to one of the fan-favorite characters. This nerf ruined the hero to the ground, but fortunately, the fix is around the corner.
With Season 2 of Marvel Rivals coming in April, the game developer will release a lot of new content. These upcoming changes will likely change the meta, but before it happens, NetEase needs to fix a major issue with Peni Parker.
The latest Marvel Rivals update completely ruined Peni Parker
Peni Parker is one of the most interesting heroes to play in Marvel Rivals. She is a Vanguard who specializes in marking the territory and keeping it under her control. Her kit revolves around Cyber-Web and Arachno-Mines, which are a deadly combo. Unfortunately, the latest update completely ruined her kit, making the character unusable.
Arachno-Mines are meant to be buried within the Cyber-Web, rendering them both invisible and indestructible. However, this isn’t currently working as intended, as Peni Parker’s mines remain visible and vulnerable to enemy attacks. Considering how crucial these abilities are to her effectiveness, it’s no surprise that many players have abandoned using her until NetEase releases a fix.
Fortunately, it appears that the patch is around the corner! NetEase has addressed the Peni Parker nerf, clarifying that it’s a bug. Due to this, we expect a new Marvel Rivals patch to drop within a few days and fix these issues.
Currently, Peni Parker ranks as the third most effective Vanguard in the game, boasting a 50.84% win rate. However, her win rate has dropped by 1.55% compared to the previous season, leading to a decline in her pick rate as well. Considering the bug she currently has, this doesn’t come as a surprise.
