The next Marvel Rivals update is set to come out on Friday, July 25. As NetEase previously revealed, it will bring content inspired by the new Fantastic Four movie, which premieres on the same day. The game developer will release new skins for each member of the superhero team, alongside a much-needed buff for a hero.
In this article, we will take a look at everything waiting for us with the next update. This will be the second-to-last update of Season 3, as Season 3.5 is set to come out on August 8.
The upcoming Marvel Rivals update could be a game-changer
Season 3 of Marvel Rivals has been out for less than two weeks, yet it’s already marked by the lack of Vanguards. In-game tanks are deemed too weak by the community, which is why NetEase may buff them soon. While big balance changes are expected in Season 3.5, the game developer will buff The Thing for now.
The member of the Fantastic Four will gain a new ability with the next Marvel Rivals update. More specifically, he will get a Team-Up ability with Human Torch, which will allow him to fly. This will make The Thing more mobile, and we expect his win rate to increase due to this.

Introducing a brand-new Team-Up Ability: Human Torch & The Thing!
Lift, slam, and disable with "First Steps" – launching July 24 UTC!

The details of this ability haven’t been revealed yet. However, it appears that The Thing will be able to fly for at least 10 seconds with it. This will allow him to disrupt the enemy backline and get to the point much easier.
The Thing’s win rate has been under 50% for three straight seasons, and this buff should make him more viable. The only downside is that he will get his eighth ability, which may make his interface cluttered.
