NetEase is gearing up to release Marvel Rivals Season 4, and it looks like a new hero may have just been leaked. The upcoming season is set to drop on September 12, but fans now have reason to believe that a highly anticipated character is coming soon. The latest hint comes from a surprising source: the voice actor of Spider-Man.
Interestingly, we have actor Yuri Lowenthal to thank for the potential leak this time. The voice actor, who plays Spider-Man in Marvel Rivals, was asked about his favorite character interactions in the game, potentially revealing the Season 4 hero.
Marvel Rivals Season 4 may add Deadpool as a new hero
According to a now-deleted tweet by @capitalspidey on X, the Spider-Man voice actor accidentally spilled beans regarding the upcoming hero. When asked about his favorite interactions, Yuri Lowenthal mentioned that he really likes the dynamic between Spider-Man and Deadpool. Naturally, the Merc with a Mouth is not in the game, which is why this answer was surprising.
When reminded that Deadpool isn’t in Marvel Rivals yet, Lowenthal quickly backtracked, saying he meant “in general.” Now, was this really just an accident, or does the voice actor know something more? We’ll find out soon.
It wouldn’t be a big surprise to see Deadpool come to the game, given his immense popularity. He has already been found in data-mined voice lines, and NetEase even added his accessory with the release of Season 3. However, his release would potentially add another Duelist to the roster, which could be an issue for game balance.
NetEase hasn’t revealed anything regarding a new hero that will come with Marvel Rivals Season 4. Fortunately, its release is approximately two weeks away, so we will find out more details about it soon.
