The latest Marvel Rivals ban is much longer than anyone would expect. While NetEase has become stricter with bans and penalties, no one expects to be banned for an entire century. At that point, handing out a lifetime ban would certainly be a better option.
Recently, one player showed how long his ban lasts. The player was supposedly banned for cheating, which is what the in-game message showed. Fortunately, while this ban is the longest in Marvel Rivals history, the story has a good ending for the banned player.
This Marvel Rivals player received a century-long ban
NetEase is putting in a lot of effort to combat cheaters in Marvel Rivals. Season 3.5, which came out in early August, brought changes to further reduce the number of toxic players in the game. The new suspension system is now live, but it appears that there are some issues with it.
Reddit user Willing-Line-2386 just made a post about receiving a 100-year ban. The player received this ban message after logging into Marvel Rivals:
Violation detected. Your character (UID: 905898810) faces a penalty until Jul 20, 2125, 9:27:21 PM (UTC+01:00).
Details: Login Suspended
Reason: Cheating
The player claimed that this was a mistake, and fortunately, they were right. After reaching out to the customer support, NetEase investigated the case and unbanned the player. “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. After a thorough investigation, your account has been unbanned,” a customer service agent wrote.”
The good news is that the player won’t have to wait until Season 603 to get back into the game! Instead, the account is now unbanned and will be ready for the launch of Marvel Rivals Season 4 in September.
