Marvel Rivals has released several rare skins over the past year and a half. While the game was released in December 2024, it had two closed tests, with the first one (Alpha) coming in May of the same year. The Beta test took place last summer and was available on both consoles and PC. Both of these tests had rare skins, and they will never return.
Guangguang, the game’s creative director, recently spoke about rare skins. He revealed that certain Marvel Rivals skins will remain exclusives, while others will return to the shop at a later date.
Which rare Marvel Rivals skins will never return?
In his interview with Rivals Assembled, Guangguang answered a question many players wanted to know. He revealed whether White Witch and Cyan Clash skins would return to the game at a later date. The first skin, which is for Scarlet Witch, was available during the Alpha test. Venom’s Cyan Clash skin came out a few months later as part of the Beta testing.
“Regarding Cyan Venom and Scarlet Witch, these two are a commitment to the players from the Closed Alpha Test and Closed Beta Test. They are exclusive skins for those who participated in these tests,” the creative director said. “These two skins will definitely not return to the shop.”
Guangguang also had some good news for those who were waiting for the return of limited-time skins. He revealed that limited-time sale skins, as well as Battle Pass skins, will come back at some point. However, even when they return, they will have some limits in terms of timing and frequency.
The Marvel Rivals creative director also revealed that the game will get more playable villains in the future, making the roster more diverse. On top of this, he claims that the hero shooter doesn’t utilize the EOMM system, and NetEase will release a detailed video about it very soon.
