The Marvel Rivals developer just revealed the “mystery mode” that is coming next week. This is a PvE mode that will have players fight hordes of zombies, and it looks very interesting. The mode will bring new abilities for fan-favorite characters, bosses, and new features.

The upcoming PvE mode will be released on Friday, October 24, as previously shown in the Season 4.5 roadmap. Marvel Zombies has the potential to be a game-changer, so Blizzard, take notes!

Marvel Rivals will get a zombies PvE mode very soon

Next Friday, NetEase will release a Marvel Zombies mode, allowing players to pick one of the five heroes to use in a battle. Thor and Jeff the Land Shark will be among the available characters, while the rest of the roster will feature The Punisher, Magik, and Blade.

While the roster may not sound impressive at first, there is an interesting feature that will make these characters better. Namely, players will be able to upgrade their heroes, so Jeff will be able to knock zombies down, while the Punisher will have an automatic turret that fires on its own.

The upcoming Marvel Rivals mode will allow players to get into the battle on their own or bring up to three friends. It will be played on the Midtown map, which has a perfect vibe for a fight against Zombies and is a great choice. Finally, the addition of Namor and Scarlet Witch as bosses is a cherry on top.

While Blizzard abandoned its promise of a PvE mode in Overwatch 2, NetEase prefers to put in work instead of excuses. Considering how competitive Marvel Rivals has recently become, the PvE mode is a breath of fresh air.

The Marvel Zombies mode likely won’t bring back millions of players who’ve stopped playing the game, but that’s not its purpose. It’s here to give the community a fresh, fun experience, and it’s hard to imagine it won’t succeed at that.
