The Marvel Rivals community is thrilled with the arrival of the Season 2.5 update, which launches today and offers Arakko, a gorgeous new map inspired by Marvel’s X-Men legend. Ultron, a Strategist hero with unique drone-based abilities that combine support and damage, promises to revolutionize team compositions and strategies.

The game’s increasing success, fueled by NetEase’s commitment to regular updates, has kept players engaged with new content, such as monthly hero releases teased for Season 3, which is set to arrive in July 2025. The arrival of Arakko and Ultron expands on the plot strands from Season 1’s vampiric storyline and the Krakoa map, implying deeper connections to the X-Men universe.

As the mid-season update finally arrives, several datamined info and cryptic teases have generated discussions about the future of the game’s roster, with fans excitedly piecing together clues about new additions.

Given Marvel Rivals’ roadmap, a new hero will be released every month starting from Season 3. This means that players will only have 4 weeks to master the meta before it changes again with a new hero.

Coming back to the leak, the rumored Tank on the list may be Armor, who was leaked earlier by the same leaker and may have a unique set of abilities to rival heavyweights like Peni Parker or Hulk. Furthermore, Blade, after remaining as a mere plot device in Season 1, will finally see the light of day as a playable character with his Daywalker Katanas.
