Marvel Rivals devs drop disappointing news about upcoming event

NetEase just released another Marvel Rivals patch, bringing a new event to the game. The event has a lot of new content, from free cosmetics to a new game mode. In addition to it, the patch fixed some of the biggest issues the game had, including much-needed tweaks for a couple of heroes. While all of this is great, the latest update also brought some disappointing news.

The event is called Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure and will last until April 11. Unfortunately, this is not the case with Clone Rumble, a new game mode. Unlike the event, the new mode will only be available periodically.

The new Marvel Rivals event brings a rather disappointing mode

On Wednesday night, NetEase posted official patch notes for the March 6 update. The majority of the patch is focused on Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure, a new event that will run from March 7 to April 11. Unfortunately, the new game mode will not be available in this period. Instead, the Marvel Rivals developer will release it periodically throughout the event.

Clone Rumble will be available for three days at a time, and this is its schedule:

• March 7, 2025, 1:00:00 AM PT – March 10, 2025, 2:00:00 AM PT
• March 14, 2025, 2:00:00 AM PT – March 17, 2025, 2:00:00 AM PT
• March 21, 2025, 2:00:00 AM PT – March 24, 2025, 2:00:00 AM PT

The Marvel Rivals community has looked forward to this new game mode, as it sounds fun and relaxing. Even Quick Play can often be “sweaty” and ruin the fun for casual players. Clone Rumble just seems like a perfect mode for laid-back, casual gameplay, allowing Marvel Rivals to enjoy the game in a less competitive way.

The limited availability will make it harder for players with busy schedules to fully engage with the new game mode, which is a major letdown.
