Marvel Rivals bots recently got a massive upgrade. These computer-controlled players now act more naturally and are more skilled than before. They are a big part of the Quick Play experience, and avoiding them is nearly impossible. Fortunately, bots are not included in the Competitive play, as each team requires six human players.

It appears that NetEase has been quietly upgrading bots over the past few months. In the beginning, they were relatively weak and easily beaten. However, the situation has changed since then. Now, bots can be quite challenging, and beating them sometimes requires teamwork and skill.

Marvel Rivals bots have received a massive upgrade

Marvel Rivals offers a variety of game modes, with Quick Play and Competitive being the most popular. However, new players can also opt to play the game against AI, which allows them to learn the basics and practice new characters. Furthermore, bots appear in Quick Play, even without players wanting them to. This usually happens after losing two games in a row, but it can happen even more frequently.

Over the past few months, the bots have drastically improved. While veteran players can mostly tell the difference between a real player and a bot, this used to be much easier. Bots can now interact with players, place sprays on the map, and even ping enemies or ask for healing.

Several Reddit users have pointed out other unusual situations with bots, including rubberbanding. Bots used to be relatively easy to deal with in the past, but now, their difficulty increases as the match progresses.

With Season 3.5 coming out on August 8, we might get another bot upgrade. For now, it doesn’t seem that NetEase will remove bots from Marvel Rivals. If anything, we expect them to appear more frequently and make up for the decline in the player count.
