Marvel Rivals Ultron’s Battle Matrix mode release date and free rewards
Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol, a new limited-time game mode in Marvel Rivals, will be available beginning June 6, 2025, at 9:00 AM UTC and ending June 23, 2025, at 9:00 AM UTC. This 18-day event features an experimental auto-battler mode, inspired by games like Teamfight Tactics and Auto Chess, in which six players engage in strategic, hero-based warfare.
In this game, players select a team of six heroes from a subset of the Marvel Rivals roster, as not all characters are available. The gameplay revolves around tactical teamwork, positioning, and card-based enhancements that improve hero stats such as attack speed, health, and damage reduction. After each round, players select four cards to expand their roster, with synergies and multipliers—for example, Venom’s x3 multiplier, which increases his size and power. The mode has a conventional auto-battler structure, with preparatory phases for upgrades and repositioning, and begins with 50 HP per player.
During the event, users can receive exclusive free goodies by playing matches and collecting points in a little “Battle Pass-like” challenge. These rewards include an Ultron Spray and two Ultron Emojis, which are collectible cosmetics for participants. Players should start playing early to optimize their rewards and enjoy Marvel Rivals’ unique strategic twist.
