Nintendo has already discontinued production of the Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer Amiibos, retailer Video Games Plus has revealed.

The limited-run production means that collectors will want to pick the three figures up now before they sell out for good. The figures have already sold out at GAME, Amazon and ShopTo, although the Nintendo Store still appears to be offering stock.

In a follow-up statement to Wired, Nintendo confirmed that some figures “likely will not return to the market once they have sold through their initial shipment,” but didn’t name which had been produced in limited numbers.

“We will aim for certain Amiibo to always be available. These will be for our most popular characters like Mario and Link,” Nintendo said. “Due to shelf space constraints, other figures likely will not return to the market once they have sold through their initial shipment.”

The second wave of Amiibos, which includes Zelda, Diddy Kong and Luigi, go on sale next Friday, December 19.
