GameSpot reports that during a GDC presentation given by Gears of War designer Cliff Bleszinski, he confirmed that Epic does “intend to do a sequel” to Gears of War.
However, over the weekend, Epic Games vp Mark Rein has posted on the official Gears of War forum denying confirmation of the Gears sequel.
“The Gamespot article is wrong. Cliff didn’t confirm anything of the sort,” wrote Rein.
That’s not to say Epic Games won’t be making Gears of War 2, just that they’re not ready to announce anything.
