To celebrate the launch of the seventh game in the Mario Party series, Nintendo is releasing a special Mario Party GameCube bundle in North America. The bundle includes a GameCube, two controllers and Mario Party 7, which itself comes with a microphone. All this can be had for $99.99.

The microphone can be used to issue voice commands to control the on-screen action in some of the 80 new mini-games found in Mario Party 7, and for the first time in the series up to eight players can take part at once. To date the Mario Party series has sold in excess of 5 million copies, making it one of the most successful videogame franchises of all time – not bad for a glorified board game.

Mario Party 7 and the Mario Party 7 bundle are released in North America on November 7th, retailing at $49.99 and $99.99 respectively. There is no word on a similar bundle being made available in Europe.
