Nintendo of Europe has released a free update for Mario Kart 7 which eliminates the ability for players to exploit shortcuts when playing Online Multiplayer on the courses “Wuhu Island Loop,” “Wuhu Mountain Loop,” and “GBA Bowser Castle 1”.

The update is available from the eShop now, after performing the latest system update to ensure the 3DS system is up to date.

Those who don’t download the Mario Kart update will be unable to take part in Online Multiplayer games.
