The Westfield Stratford centre will be transformed into Mario Land this February in a sampling event which Nintendo is calling – Mario is coming to town: Half-Term Heroes.

Visitors to the shopping centre will be able to go hands-on with a host of 3DS games including Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Cave Story 3D, Tetris and One Piece SP. A grown-ups section for 16 years and older will also be showcasing Tekken 3D and Resident Evil: Revelations.

In addition, buy a 3DS or 3DS game from GAME stores and you’ll get limited edition Mario & Friends merchandise. Buy both a 3DS and a game and you’ll get a free £10 voucher for the eShop.

The shopping centre will also host a Mario Kart 7 tournament and a booth for Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

And if that’s not enough, a 3DS treasure hunt will also be taking place, with participants invited to bring their own 3DS or rent one for the day.

Half-Term Heroes runs from February 13-19.
