SEGA today announced that Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games will be released for Wii and Nintendo DS on October 16, 2009.
The follow-up to the phenomenally successful Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games sees the two legendary video game icons and their pals come together once more to compete in a host of Winter Olympic events including Alpine Skiing and Speed Skating.
Both versions will offer a host of single-player and multiplayer game modes, while the Wii game will also support the Wii Balance Board peripheral.
Look out for announcements regarding events and the cast of included characters over the coming months.
