Rockstar Games’ battle to enable Manhunt 2 to go on sale in the UK has taken another turn, with the High Court ruling against the Video Appeals Committee’s decision to overturn the BBFC’s decision to refuse the game a classification.

According to the Metro, the BBFC argued that the VAC’s decision had potential to undermine the board’s role as a content watchdog on a much wider field than just video games.

Mr Justice Mitting instructed the VAC to reconsider its decision, noting it has committed a “clear error of law” in relating the game to the question of harm.

All this means that Manhunt 2 is still not cleared to go on sale in the UK.
