A Fallout fan named Seth has been awarded a free copy of Fallout 4 after sending publisher Bethesda over 2,000 bottle caps. The collection apparently took more than seven years to collect.
“Fallout 3 was my favourite game for several years, so I made the rational choice to start saving up bottle caps,” said Seth. “Turns out 4.5 years of undergrad and three years in a Master’s program leads to a lot of drinking. It ended up being 11.2 pounds of bottle caps. You don’t want to know how much it cost to ship it to Maryland.”
That was a few weeks back. An update from Seth on Imgur reveals he was rewarded with the free copy of the game.
“[Bethesda’s Matt Grandstaff] told me since I was the first person to do this, I would be receiving a copy of the game this November,” he explained.
“For being first, he deserves the recognition,” said Grandstaff on Twitter.
Well done Seth. Everyone else can pre-order Fallout 4 now on PS4, Xbox One or PC using real money.
