Sports Interactive has announced that the anticipated Football Manager Live version 1.4 update has now been code-locked and entered its final testing phase.

This has allowed SI to confirm a planned February 1, 2010 release date for the update. While the update is being rolled-out players can expect game worlds to be offline and unavailable from 6am until 8pm GMT, although SI hopes to have the game up and running before then.

New features introduced in version 1.4 include the much anticipated Youth Academies, Match Challenges, Reward Points, Revamped Ranking and Reputation systems and more.

You’ll find a complete run-down of all changes on the Football Manager Live forums.
