Konami’s been hard at work teasing fans with Kojima Productions’ countdown, and now the latest issue of PSW has joined in with the fun.

According to a page drumming up interest for the next issue of the mag – on sale June 18 – readers will be told what Hideo Kojima has been working on since MGS4 was completed.

“Hideo Kojima’s Next Game,” states PSW. “Konami has been busy hinting at what the Metal Gear Solid 4 developer will do next. Well we know. And all will be revealed next issue!”

The text is placed over the top of a silhouette of a character from the new game, which CVG notes has a startling resemblance to the burly lead man from Konami’s fantasy action title, Lords of Shadow – first teased back at Games Convention 2008.

Lords of Shadow is in development at Mercury Steam, but CVG suggests that Kojima’s involvement in the project, given his intentions to work with a Western developer, is plausible.

You won’t have to wait until June 18 for the reveal of Kojima’s latest game, though, with the current Konami countdown expected to end just in time for E3.
