Madworld game director Shigenori Nishikawa has revealed to Official Nintendo Magazine that he would be interested in creating a sequel to the well-received action game.

“I think MadWorld was very well received and was acknowledged for its innovative graphical style and gameplay. We would definitely be interested in making a sequel in the future,” said Nishikawa.

Nishikawa also described the Wii as a “very well-balanced piece of hardware,” suggesting he’d be happy to work again on Nintendo’s console.

Of course, just because Nishikawa would like to make a sequel it doesn’t mean it’s going to happen, especially given SEGA’s recent comments distancing itself from mature titles on Wii.
