LucasArts, via GameTrailers TV, has confirmed the development of Lucidity, a new internally developed title for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PC.

The game is described as a 2D side-scroller and puzzle game, which sees main character Sophie making her way through a series of levels created to look like a children’s book.

The game differs from a standard platformer by taking direct control over Sophie away from the player. Instead, Sophie will run from point to point on her own, with the player tasked with ensuring puzzles are solved in order for Sophie to safely progress.

Regarding a release date, it’s expected to appear on XBLA later this month, but there’s no word on when it’ll be arriving on PC.
