LoveFilm has ceased offering video games as part of its rental service, the company has confirmed.
“We are no longer offering games rental packages to either new customers, or those who wish to change from a non-games package”, LoveFilm wrote on its website.
“In order to give the best possible service that we can, we are looking to focus on our strength, which is providing the best selection of film and TV content for our customers, and making it available whenever and wherever you want it.”
LoveFilm has offered customers the option to rent games by post alongside DVDs as part of their subscription package for multiple years.
It isn’t yet clear why the company decided to pull games from its service, or how the decision will affect existing subscribers.
