Lord of the Rings Online: Rise of Isengard, the new expansion for the successful free-to-play MMORPG opens the doors to its beta program on July 27.

The beta will be invite-only, however players who pre-purchased the expansion will receive preferred access.

Players will be able to purchase the Rise of Isengard Base Edition, Heroic Edition, or Legendary edition.

The Base Edition will include the full expansion as well as a new in-game “Steed of the Gap” mount and 25% XP boost on all characters up to level 65.

The Heroic Edition will include the full expansion as well as 1000 Turbine Points to be used at the LOTRO micro-transaction store, an in-game mount, matching cloak and armour of various colours, and a 25% XP boost for all characters up to level 65.

The Legendary Edition will include the full expansion as well as three in-game mounts, access to the Path of the Fellowship Quest Packs, and everything included in the Heroic Edition.

Users can pre-order the expansion at the official website. The MMO was recently made available for free in Europe.
