With the Xbox 360 title not expected until the later part of the year, the news of the demo has come as a bit of a surprise. If you think I’m pulling your leg, then download the latest Lost Planet trailer which is available on Xbox Live Marketplace now. As well as displaying some pretty impressive visuals, the trailer ends with the message that a demo will be arriving on Marketplace on May 9, the day before the E3 gates open.
If Lost Planet has slipped past your radar then here’s the gist of it. A young man is saved by a group calling themselves the Snow Pirates, who use Vitality Suits enabling them to explore the unforgiving tundra environment. Other than the harsh environment, the biggest danger comes from the Eecrid, the new dominant species on the planet.
Lost Planet is shaping up to be something rather exciting, and May 9 can’t come quick enough.
