More info on Deck13’s upcoming sci-fi action RPG will be revealed at Gamescom next month, publisher Focus Home Interactive has announced.

The as-yet-untitled game promises to feature “innovative combat mechanics and an original character progression system based on modular upgrades gained through tight, visceral combat”, and is due for release on PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2017.

Don’t get your hopes up for any gameplay footage during next month’s reveal, though. Focus says that the game will only be revealed behind closed doors “via interviews with some of the core team at the show”.

A teaser image for the game appearing to show a character holding a chainsaw gun was revealed last month.

Focus says that the game “will be one of the most exciting RPGs to come in the future”.

The Technomancer, a new post-apocalyptic RPG from the creators of last year’s Bound By Flame, will also be shown behind closed doors, the publisher says.

Deck13 previously developed Lords of the Fallen with City Interactive, a Souls-like game that launched on PS4, Xbox One and PC last year.
