Lords of the Fallen developer Deck13 Interactive has partnered with Focus Home Interactive to create a brand new sci-fi action RPG.

Due for release on PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2017, the new IP will be set in a dystopian sci-fi future and promises to include “innovative combat mechanics and an original character progression system based on modular upgrades gained through tight, visceral combat.”

Focus claims that the game will be “one of the most exciting RPGs to come in the future”.

A teaser image offering a glimpse at what to expect can be seen above, and appears to feature a soldier equipped with an exosuit and a large, futuristic chainsaw gun. The game’s name will be revealed at a later date.

“We are delighted to be working with Focus Home Interactive,” said Deck13 CEO Florian Stadlbauer. “Our relationship with the company over the past few months has created a lot of trust and confidence already. During the past years, the Focus team has shown that they are extremely successful in marketing European titles worldwide.”

Focus Home Interactive previously published last year’s fantasy RPG Bound By Flame. It’s also working with Spiders on a new post-apocalyptic RPG set on Mars.
