Eidos Interactive has today announced the development of Looney Tunes: Cartoon Concerto, a new rhythm action title for Nintendo DS.
The game puts players in charge of an orchestra that conducts the music to popular Looney Tunes cartoons, featuring characters such as Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Sylvester the Cat and Tweety. Famous scenes will need to be recreated, which upon completion will be played out as a reward.
“This is a game for absolutely everybody who enjoys simple but addictive gameplay,” said Richard Lassiter, Brand Manager for Eidos. “The DS is the perfect console for this type of pick-up-and-play game, and Looney Tunes: Cartoon Concerto is the best way to relive those classic Looney Tunes moments.”
The first screens suggest the gameplay will follow a similar formula to Elite Beat Agents – the player having to activate numbered circles using the touch screen.
Looney Tunes: Cartoon Concerto is in development at Amaze Entertainment and is scheduled for release in June 2008.
