The two disc package will come in a swanky black metallic case and will be priced $59.99 in the US. In the case you will find two discs: disc one containing the all important game and disc two packed full of extra stuff. The extra stuff comprises of a behind the scenes video feature, unique gamer pictures for your Xbox Live gamer card, a custom theme for your Xbox 360 dashboard, and the first chapter of Perfect Dark: Initial Vector, a novel by Greg Rucka.

The standard edition will retail for $49.99, the same price that current-gen titles retail for in the US. This sheds some light on speculation over the price of next-gen games, with many people predicting $59.99 price tags across the board. Whether or not this is true for all games, or purely first-party titles remains to be seen, but it’s good news nonetheless.

Microsoft invested big money when buying Rare and they will be looking for some return on that £375 million. Kameo: Elements of Power from Rare is also set to be a launch title for the Xbox 360 – a game that originally started life on the GameCube, before moving to the Xbox and then the 360. We just hope these two titles will show that Rare haven’t completely lost their touch.

The Xbox 360 is expected to launch in late November, so expect more news on Rare’s titles, along with the rest of the launch line-up in a few months.
