Due to the SAG-AFTRA voice-actor strike, the voice of Chloe Price, Ashly Burch will not be returning to her role in Life is Strange: Before the Storm.Â
After its appearance during the Microsoft conference only a couple of days ago, Life is Strange: Before the Storm will have to continue without the original voice of one of its most popular characters.
Ashly Burch took to twitter to explain why she is not longer voicing Chloe Price.
Hey y’all, to the fans asking – I wasn’t able to reprise my role as Chloe in Life is Strange: Before the Storm due to the SAG-AFTRA strike

This is probably one of the first instances in which we are seeing the SAG-AFTRA voice-actor strike have a public affect on a game. Life is Strange: Before the Storm is being developed by US developers Deck Nine Games, whilst the series creators Dontnod Entertainment are cracking on with Life is Strange 2.
Whilst Ashly Burch could not actively work on voicing Chloe, she did provide assistance as a consultant, with obvious limitations due to the strike action. Perhaps she will return for Life is Strange 2.
Chloe means a lot to me. Grateful for the opportunity to consult on her character.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm will focus on the relationship between Chloe Price and Rachel Amber. This three part mini-series will begin on August 31, 2017. It will be coming out on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
