The debut trailer for Life is Strange 2 has been unveiled at Gamescom this week, confirming the narrative-driven sequel will focus on two brothers as they go on the run from the police.

Fleeing their Seattle home after a life-changing and tragic event, 16-year-old Sean and his 9-year-old brother Daniel embark on an epic road trip as they evade the authorities and head for Puerto Lobos, Mexico.

As expected, Life is Strange 2 features an entirely new cast and setting, and players will be able to wield 'a new power' as the siblings adjust to life on the road.

'The release of Captain Spirit was a great moment for the team and we can’t wait to introduce the players to the new story and characters of Life is Strange 2,' commented Life is Strange 2's co-creative director, Raoul Barbet. 'We have worked hard with the original team to keep what I personally loved to craft in the first game: the mood, the cinematographic work and of course, the music.'

'After the exciting adventures of Max and Chloe, we are extremely happy that you will all soon meet Sean and Daniel Diaz, our new protagonists, and follow them on their journey,' added Dontnod's Michel Koch. 'We love diving back into the Life is Strange universe along with our lead writer, Jean-Luc Cano, to create our new story and characters.'

The first episode of Life is Strange 2's five-part saga will debut on September 27 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
