A LEGO Portal 2 set will be officially considered by the Danish block-maker after gaining enough interest from its social site Cuusoo.

The talented four-person squad of fans responsible for the project, Team Jigsaw, will have their pitch thought over by an esteemed LEGO jury over the next few months. They’ll consider things like playability and overall interest.

It is unlikely that the LEGO version of the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device, if eventually made, will able to withstand temperatures up to 4000 degrees Kelvin.

As Team Jigsaw doesn’t have creative control over the Portal license, Valve would be able to block the project if it so wished.

While the idea of a LEGO Portal set might seem a little far-fetched, consider how a LEGO Minecraft set was put into development after going through the Cuusoo process.

Take a peek at Team Jigsaw’s shots of the LEGO Portal set. It gets quadruple points for even featuring a little potato.
