LEGO Batman 2 tops June US sales chart with 450,000 copies sold

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes was the best-selling game in the US for the month of June, shifting 450,000 copies across its seven platforms, reports GameInformer.

The LEGO sequel is followed by Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon: Future Solder at No.2, Diablo 3 at No.3, Max Payne 3 at No.4 and NBA 2K12 at No.5.

Activision’s Amazing Spider-Man is new at No.10, and Warner’s Lollipop Chainsaw debuted outside the Top 10 with 107,000 copies sold.

Hardware sales were once again led by the Xbox 360 – now 18 months as the top-selling current generation console in the US. Sony hasn’t given an indication of PS3 sales.

Nintendo announced that it has now sold five million 3DS units in the US, with 155,000 coming in June. 150,000 DS systems were shifted and 95,000 Wiis. Based on Nintendo’s PR statement, it’s estimated that sales of the PSP and PS Vita combined reached around 100,000.
