Legend of Kay Anniversary, a fully rejigged version of the original pop culture-fulled action-platformer from Neon Studios, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year, THQ Nordic has announced.

First released on the PS2 way back in 2005, Legend of Kay has subsequently been ported to just about every other platform out there, with the title most recently showing up on last-generation consoles back in 2015 to mark the game’s 10th anniversary.

Legend of Kay Anniversary takes full advantage of Switch’s extra hardware muscle, featuring flashy high-resolution textures, spruced up character models, surround sound, and ‘modern rendering techniques.’ In other words, it’ll look a lot better than it did before.

For those who never played it, Legend of Kay isn’t afraid to hide from its fondness of classic martial arts films, with various nods to these flicks spread liberally throughout. It makes sense too, as you’re essentially playing as a ninja-loving cat. The game features 25 levels and over 15 varied enemies and bosses to tackle, plus three primary weapons and online rankings.

Legend of Kay Anniversary on Switch has yet to nab a release date, but we’ll keep you posted.
