Kotaku reports that lead animator Mark Grigsby and lead character animator Paul Messerly have joined 11 others and left Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward.
Grigsby joined the studio back in 2005, while Messerly was there from the start, having earlier worked at Medal of Honor developer 2015 Inc. alongside Zampella and West.
Grigsby might be extra familiar to gamers, having voiced Staff Sergeant Griggs in CoD4. He was also the guy doing the rap over the game’s end credits.
With 13 employees known to have left Infinity Ward since March 1, 2010, sources at the studio have indicated to Kotaku that morale is low because of a worrying lack of leadership.
It’s not known if the former Infinity Ward staffers will end up at the newly formed Respawn Entertainment.
