Roll7 has announced that its futuristic sports outing Laser League is available to take for a spin via Steam Early Access today for £10.99. Here, you can look forward to soaking up some adrenaline-pumping 4v4 local matches or go online for 2v2 and 3v3-based shenanigans.

Not only that, but the BAFTA award-winning developer confirmed it’s offering a limited-time 30 percent discount on Laser League to celebrate the news. As per the norm with any Early Access title, the studio will also be using the opportunity to take on board feedback from gamers to add any required spit and polish prior to release.

Laser League’s Early Access period will offer up six classes to pick from, each of which comes equipped with two ability modifiers. These are Blade, Smash, Thief, Ghost, Shock, and Snipe.

You’ll also have three international stadiums with 12 laser maps to select from, including Empire Campus (London, UK), Geng Hao Megaplex (Tianjin, China), and Silvertip Arena (Detroit, USA). Topping things off will be 16 juicy power-ups, over 60 characters, and 250 customisation options.

‘We have been working on this title in one way, shape or form since 2014 – so we are ecstatic about finally getting it into player’s hands,’ commented Roll7’s Simon Bennett. ‘Early Access marks the next phase of the development process, offering our teams an opportunity to gather and implement player feedback in order to further refine the overall game ahead of a full commercial launch in the near future.’
