Shadow of the Tomb Raider developer Eidos Montreal has released a new video documenting the evolution of heroine Lara Croft.
The upcoming action-adventure sequel is poised to show how the nimble trinket-pincher becomes the Tomb Raider as she hunts down the nefarious Trinity organisation. However, she wasn't always so bold, as Narrative Director Jason Dezois reminds us in the footage.
Originally, she started out as an inexperienced treasure seeker trapped on an island in Tomb Raider 2013, though slowly gained confidence with 2016's Rise of the Tomb Raider, which saw her spending the majority of the time alone without the aid of her buddies.
With Shadow, she's on the hunt, looking to settle the score with Trinity but inadvertently sets about a chain of events that could bring about the apocalypse. Whoops.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is due for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on September 14.
