LA Noire may have had a troubled development, eventually resulting in the closure of Team Bondi, but it has sold an impressive 5 million copies since launch.

The figure, mentioned in the publisher’s quarterly financial briefing, means that the open world title was the most successful new IP of last year.

Take-Two’s total revenue for its third fiscal quarter was $236.3m, down from $334.3m in the same period of the previous year. As Take-Two was quick to point out, last year’s figures were riding on the back of the hugely successful Red Dead Redemption.
