WWE 2K18 premiered a new trailer on WWE Raw last night, aptly titled Survivor, promoting decorated Olympian, WWE Hall of Famer, Raw General Manager and all-round American Hero, Kurt Angle.
The Survivor trailer follows on from the cover reveal trailer, Vandal, which featured that long-haired chap Seth Rollins destroying the WWE archives. That’s not polite.
As part of its build up to the game’s release, WWE seems to be using Seth Rollins as a heel to Kurt Angle’s face. Having previously fought and beaten Rollins a decade ago, Angle makes his way through the debris from Rollins’ cover reveal video and discovers a pair of his old boots. The drama! That’s it, Kurt Angle internally declares. Or so I like to think, anyway.
As a result of this not-so-subtle set up for a feud, Angle is returning to the virtual ring for the first time in more than a decade to defend his legacy, and uphold that of his fellow WWE Legends and Hall of Famers. It’s all kicking off, I guess.
