Little Orbit has announced Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends, a new fighting game based on the hit martial arts movie franchise coming to PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS and PC this autumn.
Developed by Eat Lead creators Vicious Cycle, the cartoon brawler will task players with competing in an “epic tournament” and features 20 playable characters from the first two Kung Fu Panda films.
New content based on next year’s Kung Fu Panda 3 will also be introduced following the film’s release. A variety of multiplayer modes will feature, too, including local and online Versus, Team Play and Tag-Team modes.
We have no idea what the game looks like, though: Little Orbit has yet to release any screenshots or footage of the game.
“We are very proud to team up with DreamWorks Animation to extend the world of Kung Fu Panda in a new, exciting way,” said CEO of Little Orbit Matt Scott. “This is a perfect match-up to bring this extraordinary series to gamers who love a great multiplayer martial arts game.”
The game will be distributed by Bandai Namco in the UK.
