Japanese/Korean MMO M2 has been accidentally deleted after undergoing maintenance in late October.

During this time code necessary for the game to run was deleted from the game’s database, having not been backed up by Japanese studio Sankando, GamesIndustry.biz reports.

In doing so, the team managed to delete every user’s account and therefore will be shutting down.

M2, which was based largely around microtransactions, had a relatively small userbase and will issue “conditional” refunds to users.

Think of this next time you whinge about Blizzard.
