Konami has said that it has “identified key issues” preventing some Xbox 360 players from being able to play PES 2014 online, and that it is “currently preparing a solution, with the support of Microsoft”.

In an update on the game’s support page, the publisher said that “as soon as a date can be fixed for distribution of a new update, Konami will update users through the press, the PES community, social channels and via the following URL which has already been set-up to report back on the online issue.”

Some players have reported issues when trying to download and install PES 2014’s second Xbox 360 title update, preventing them from playing online.

But despite the problems, Konami appears to have ruled out the possibility of offering individual players compensation for their troubles. If any decision to offer compensation is made, it will be done so on a “server wide basis”.

“Due to the nature of online gaming, sometimes things happen that may require fixing as to provide the best gaming experience in the long run,” said Konami on a seperate PES 2014 support page. “Compensation is decided on a server wide basis and any decisions will be announced on the server status pages which can be found here: http://www.konami.jp/we/online/

“We cannot provide any further compensation based on individual cases.”

Konami has yet to provide an ETA on when the issue will be resolved.
