Konami has announced that it will release Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on PS Vita in Europe this summer. The game will include enhanced versions of Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Both games will include graphical make-overs, trophies and controls designed for the Vita. The games will also make use of the Transfarring system, allowing players to share data with the PS3 games.

“The PlayStation Vita system will provide fans with an exciting new way to enjoy the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection,” said Martin Schneider, general manager for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. “We’re confident that users will be pleased with the new innovations Kojima Productions have implemented with the new PlayStation Vita iterations, offering a truly unique experience for this exciting new format.”

The HD Collection is already available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with both packages also coming with an HD version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. We awarded the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection 9/10 in our review from earlier in the year.

No solid release date has been given by Konami, with the release window set for the summer. The collection arrives in Japan on June 28.
