Konami has removed the Kojima Productions logo from the Silent Hills website.

As spotted by GameSpot, the studio’s logo originally featured in the corner of the game’s website, but it has since been removed with only the Fox Engine logo remaining.

The decision to remove the studio’s name follows shortly after the Kojima Productions logo and Hideo Kojima’s name were pulled from Metal Gear Solid branding earlier this month.

The future of Silent Hills – and Kojima Productions – has remained unclear for weeks after it was first reported that Hideo Kojima is to leave Konami once work on Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has been completed.

Kojima had been working on Silent Hills in conjunction with Pan’s Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro, with an early playable demo released on PS4 last summer.

However, in a statement provided to the site, a Konami representative explained: “Konami has switched from a studio-based to a headquarters-based organization, so [Kojima Productions] wouldn’t be listed as a studio anymore. At this time, there are no additional updates to share.”

The latest update from Kojima, which was released by Konami almost two weeks ago, stated that he was still “100% involved” in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Earlier that day, Konami revealed plans to hire new staff to lead development on a new Metal Gear title.
