Two of Koei’s blockbuster franchises, Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, will meet for the first time in what is being described as an “unforgettable crossover event“.

Warriors Ochi introduces players to the most venomous enemy they may ever face: the evil Serpent King Orochi. Orochi and his army are so powerful that the combined forces of the Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors is needed for any chance of victory.

The game will feature a huge roster of 77 playable characters and four action-packed crossover storylines. Koei also speaks of a new Team Battle System and Weapon Fusion which pushes tactical action to a new level. Players will be able to create their own three-person tag team, making it possible to rest characters which need to restore their life meters and Musou gauges.

With the new Weapon Fusion system, players will have the ability to combine the attributes from different weapons for more devastating results. Expect both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2 versions to be largely the same, bar the customary 720p visuals and in-game Dolby Digital audio found in the Xbox 360 version.

Warriors Orochi is scheduled for release in North America on September 18, 2007, with a European release likely to follow at a later date.
